Changes to the Committee 09/22/2009
Some great news for the club. Two changes as follows: Club Treasurer I am delighted to announce that Debbie has agreed to take on the role of Club Treasurer. She will oversee all of the record keeping and ensure that fair play is maintained. A new account is being opened and Gary, Debbie and i will be the signatures on the account. Please feel free to thank her when you see her next (she's the one who always wins the meat raffle!!!). Committee Member Cajoled into being on the committee is one of our most experienced players - please welcome Paul (formerly of the MAWS or Manchester Area Wargames Society) who is very forthcoming with ideas and proferring help. He will be of great help to the club going forward. I should also take this opportunity to thank all of the existing committee who have been very supportive in a multitude of ways in helping our club grow. It is exciting times for Northampton Warlords!! Cheers Nobby Time for an update methinks..... 09/22/2009
.....as it has been a few weeks since the last one. Since my last post we have had two more meets with attendance continuing to be as strong as ever with a diverse range of games being played. As the word spreads about our resurgence more people have been joining the forum and visiting the club. Work is underway to manufacture a number of tabletops (4'x6') to cope with the increase in demand for tabletop players and some product investigation was conducted by a couple of the committee at Colours - the Wargaming Show at Newbury. Please do take the time to come and see what we are all about if you are at all interested in gaming as we have a growing fanbase for Boardgames, Roleplaying and Tabletop. Cheers Nobby It's Club wars time..... 08/26/2009

.....and with several of our regular members not present it was great to see so many new faces. Another 4 first timers braved the threshold of the club and they were made to feel welcome. Roleplaying continues to be a great success and board games including Settlers of Catan, Zombies and Munchkin were entertaining some members. The FoW Firestorm Bagration campaign continued with mixed results for the Axis and Allied forces. Necromunda, 40k and Fantasy were once again on the Tabletop with more WW2 action by way of Blitzkreig Commander. As usual pictures can be found in the Gallery! Great stuff!! Cheers Nobby Today's meeting was a great success.... 08/09/2009
.....with 25 people turning up and playing. The RPG group had an eclectic mix of players but was a great success and the new Firestorm Campaign got off to a good start with 5 or Turn 1's battles being fought in a day!! A great Operation Overlord game was played with the sound of the sea to complete the immersive experience!! Warhammer Fantasy and 40k was as popular as ever!! Pictures from today (including an Operation Overlord video) can be found in the Gallery. Even remembered to takes some outside shots of our venue for the When and where? page! Thanks to everyone who came today. Cheers Nobby Just over a week..... 08/02/2009

That takes into consideration those regular members who where either on holiday or at Kelmarsh this weekend as well!! Pictures from today can be found here. New website ready to go live!!! 07/24/2009
Well, Markus Maximus has done a sterling job hitherto in delivering a website for the club! As he hands over the mantle of Chairman, and with his blessing and inclusion, I decided it was time to relaunch the website in line with the relaunch of the club itself. |
